Message from the President

I’d like to personally invite you to join us at River Region Soccer Club. We’re quite simply about improving the soccer skills of the youth of the River Region. We’ve proudly trained youth from Prattville, Millbrook, Montgomery, Auburn, Tallassee, Clanton, Troy, Wetumpka, Marbury, and many areas in between.
 
We’ve recently joined with the City of Prattville to offer the area soccer teams that will be fulfilling to the recreational, developmental and competitive players needs. I encourage you to contact me or the other members listed on our Contact Us page to find out what we have to offer.

Spring Academy Program

The Rapids will be running their spring academy training to anyone interested in improving their technical skills. Training will be twice a month running from February until May for a total of 8 sessions. Coaching provided by Faulkner University Coaches and players from the men's and women's soccer programs. Cost will be $100 for all 8 sessions. Training will be 2-3:30pm Saturday afternoons at Upper Kingston fields. Registration form will be posted shorty.

  • State Cup The u18 girls played a hard fought match today at the state cup finals. Despite a valiant effort the girls came up a bit short in a 1-0 loss. The girls played great and we are very proud of your efforts. Great season ladies.

  • E License Course If you are interested in getting your E license please go to: http://al.affinitysoccer.com/eventmanager/public/event.asp?calid=5104322&eventtype=CE and register to take the course. The training runs Friday evening through Sunday July 15-17. All travel coaches must have this license.

  • Fall Registration We will have a registration at Academy Sports in Prattville  from 9am - 2 pm on July 9. Anyone who registers this day will be entered into a draw for a $100 gift card for Academy.

  • Parent meeting for All Club Players We will be holding our parent club meeting June 23 from 6-8pm at Upper Kingston Park. Forms that need to be filled out can be accessed by clicking the forms tab in the left hand column. A map to Upper Kingston Park can be accessed on the Calendar on the main page. This is a mandatory meeting so please make arrangements for one parent or guardian to be present. Please bring a copy of the players birth certificate and insurance.

  • Two Rapids make State teams. The Rapids would like to congratulate Austin Damron and Nicholas Kowalczyk both of the Rapids u15 boys team who recently where selected to the 98 & 96 Alabama Regional teams respectively. Both boys worked hard at the recent ODP mini camp and where selected to the State team. The Rapids would like to congratulate both players and wish them best of luck in the upcoming regional tryouts.

Welcome to the Rapids

Our club is dedicated to developing the soccer talent found in the youth of our area. Although we have stood in front of the championship banner at many levels in the seven years since the club was formed, we measure our success by the improvement of our players. Our coaching staff has led players to reach higher skill levels in each season. If you have an athlete who desires to improve, we want the opportunity to guide them.
