If you are looking for fun yet competitive soccer in the River Region area (Montgomery, Millbrook, Prattville, Wetumpka and surrounding areas), you have found the right place!  (Actually, we have players coming from as far as Auburn and Clanton to play with us!)  Our club is committed to involving as many kids as possible and improving their soccer skills.  Club soccer is not for everybody, but it is for the child who really enjoys the game, and wants to improve through dedicated practice and conditioning.  We provide some of the best coaching that can be found in this area.  Our professional coaching staff is generally made up of college coaches from Auburn University at Montgomery, Huntingdon College and Alabama State University.  Please take the time to read their bios (coming soon).

For the 2007-08 year, we fielded Division II and Division III teams in several different age groups.  If you are trying out for the 2008-09 season, please contact our registrar, Janet Clark.  She can answer your questions or put you in touch with the correct person.

• [10/14//08]  U10 FINISH 2nd in the 2008 BIRMINGHAM BASH
  The U10 boys tied for 1st place by beating VHSC Steamers White (3-1), BUSA Insanity (4-1), and tying Trussville United Fire 99 (4-4).  The tie-breaker pitted the U10s against Tuskaloosa Arsenal 99 were they narrowly lost with a score of 2-1.  See full tournament results here.
   
• [10/14//08]  U12 WINS 2008 BIRMINGHAM BASH
  Rapids '97 won the championship in the Gold Bracket with wins over BUSA 97 South Red (2-0), Homewood U12 Freedom (2-1), BUSA 97 North Red (2-1), and winning the championship match over the number 1 team in the U12 A Bracket league, BWSC Ambassadors Gold with a score of 3-2.  See full tournament results here.
   
• [9/30//08]  U12 WINS TOP SEED IN THE 2008 BLUE-GRAY CLASSIC
  Rapids '97 earned 1st place in the Montgomery 2008 Blue-Gray Classic with wins over CC Streaks 97 (3-0), Columbus All Stars (7-1), and Blast Boys 97 (4-1).  Championship match has yet to be determined.  See full tournament results here.
   
• [9/30//08]  U19 FINISH 2nd IN THE 2008 BLUE-GRAY CLASSIC
  Rapids '90 beat Columbus Mutiny with a score of 9-0 placing them in a championship match with the Capital City Streaks.  See full tournament results here.
   
• [9/25//08]  U12 WINS 2008 TENNESSEE FALL CLASSIC
  Rapids '97 won the Championship in their bracket at the 2008 Tennessee Fall Classic in Franklin, TN (suburb of Nashville) with wins over Clarksville SA KAOS '97 (4-2), TNFC Black (7-1), Brentwood '97 (3-0), and in the championship match beating TNFC 97 White with a score of 8-3.  See full tournament results here.
